Time To Dance was the first song written by Panic! At The Disco, and is one of the songs heard by Pete Wentz that lead to the signing of the band on Wentz's Fueled By Ramen imprint, Decaydance.

During the Honda Civic Tour 2008 - which Panic At The Disco headlined - as well as other 2008 shows, Time To Dance was performed acoustically by Brendon Urie alone as the first of three encore songs. Time To Dance has always been a popular live number with the audience, in part because the line "When I say "Shotgun", you say "Wedding"" made it a perfect choice for audience participation. Urie took this a step further during his acoustic performances in 2008 by asking the audience to 'sing' the introduction to the song, originally done on the keyboard.
